Alain Fabien Delon, the son of the most famous look in French cinema, stars in the new Mango Man editorial

  • The project, photographed by Nacho Alegre, captures the actor and model in a nostalgic tale idealised by the golden years of cinema, music and culture in Paris

Alain Fabien Delon, son of the 60s French film icon, stars in the new Mango Man editorial, City of Lights.

The photographer Nacho Alegre captures the model and actor playing the role of a contemporary man recalling the years of the cultural explosion experienced in a city like Paris. Alain Fabien Delon himself told us about some of his favourite locations in the city, from cultural spots like the arthouse cinema in the Latin quarter or the must-see Louvre Museum, to small restaurants and bars he goes to with his friends.

In a setting full with intellectual heritage and representative images, the Mango men’s line evokes the nostalgia of this era from a contemporary perspective, bringing to life the contemporary attitude that defines the collection.

In this selection, elegant designs combine with versatile garments and more informal fabrics such as denim. With a colour palette that features black, white, grey and camel tones, the capsule collection stands out for the variety of camp-collar shirts, a style characteristic for its fluidity. In addition to these designs, the collection includes other key garments, such as double-breasted suit jackets or trench coats, and a wide range of prints: stripes, check or classic graphics. City of Lights recalls an urban look of clean silhouettes with retro details, for a man who is contemporary but classical in essence.
