    New AW/2021 Collection

The country look is one of the trends featured this season in the women’s and men’s lines, where green, ecru and neutral tones take centre stage, with natural and warm fabrics of retro inspiration, and textures such as quilted fabrics and shearling. The woman’s collection features shirts with babydoll collars, gilets and sweaters with retro-prints, with a white dress combined with different textures taking centre stage. The men’s line also features fabrics such as moleskin, corduroy, herringbone wool and houndstooth check. Highlighted garments include the bouclé-knit polo-neck sweater and the oversized trench coats.

Another major commitment in both men’s and women’s looks are black & white garments, with stylings that combine more formal garments with denim or sweatshirts, for more contemporary offerings. The silhouettes are urban, and in the women’s line leggings, gilets, white shirts, dresses and quilted garments taking centre stage, in which geometric prints are key. In the men’s line, special emphasis is placed on leather garments, and male garments are reinterpreted through the styling, giving them a more informal air.

Finally, the Soft collection, an offering which aims to dress us from head to toe, in which white and neutral tones predominate in warm fabrics. Key garments in the women’s and men’s lines include the knitted twinset, sweaters and cotton t-shirts. Quality is very important in this collection, with blends of cashmere, wool and cotton, and loose and comfortable silhouettes.

A Mediterranean Dream, by Diana Kunst

With the Mediterranean as the backdrop, the Mango video shows the roots and the brand's ties with Mediterranean style and culture, as a way of life and a lens through which we see the world. From the sense of belonging to a community, family, friendship, a respect for the environment, artisan crafts, gastronomy, dance, music and art, Mango travels to various locations in the Mediterranean to show that it is not just a place on the map, but an attitude and a way of life.

Diana Kunst (Madrid, 1990) is a photographer and video maker, and one of the most acclaimed talents of today. Her curriculum boasts a Silver Lion Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and in recent years she has worked with artists such as the Rolling Stones, FKA Twigs, Rosalía, Madonna, Maluma and C. Tangana, among others. On this occasion, Diana Kunst embarks on a journey through the Mediterranean, surrounded by friends and incomparable landscapes, in order to capture and celebrate its culture and lifestyle, which form part of the brand’s DNA.

A Mediterranean Dream was shot in three different countries, in locations including Cadaqués, Cadiz and Mallorca (Spain), Amorgos (Greece) and Palermo, Cefalù and Alicudi (Italy), and shows the incomparable beauty of Mediterranean nature and architecture. For the video, the director Diana Kunst surrounded herself with her true community and counted on her most intimate circle of friends, which includes talents such as the musicians Gabriela Richardson and Oso Leone, the actor Javier Dichas, the models Marina Ontanaya, Gigi Ringel and Eeva Lioni, the dancers Antonio de Rosa and Mattia Russo, the musician Kiala Kanzi or Selassie, and the creator Yasmin Zilati, among others.

In the words of Diego Sebastian, Mango’s Communication, Image and Customer Experience Director: “It is a privilege to present our new collection in a setting close to our home like Empordà. At Mango we see the Mediterranean as a way of life that provides a focus our collections and our business. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Diana Kunst, a creative talent who has managed to capture with incredible subtlety and passion the diverse significance of the Mediterranean.”
