MANGO, one of Europe’s leading fashion groups, launches SIMONMILLERxMANGO: its new Spring/Summer 2023 collection, designed in collaboration with the American clothing brand SIMONMILLER. Uniting SIMONMILLER’s Californian West Coast vibe with the Mediterranean style of Mango, the result is a summer capsule collection inspired by the world that lies under the sea.

The collection comprises limited-edition garments for a colourful, youthful and fun wardrobe which, adopting the fundamental principles of SIMONMILLER, the Los Angeles firm, has been designed with a playful approach to classic luxury. It features carefree looks in which dresses and outfits with vibrant stripes or prints take centre stage.

The collection emphasizes the use of colour. In it, we can find a range of primary colours (yellows, reds and blues) which appear alongside multi-coloured prints and stripes that give the garments light and freshness. As for the fabrics, natural fibres such as linen and cotton predominate, which are combined with materials reminiscent of surf and scuba diving suits, such as polyamide, and others with a towel texture.

Accessories also feature strongly in this capsule. SIMONMILLER has positioned itself as a brand in which accessories play a key role in its collections. Consequently, the SIMONMILLERxMANGO collection includes several detailed accessories that also feature the aesthetic of the sea bed. Highlights include raffia, chunky sandals and balloon glasses, star garments of SIMONMILLER, as well as maxi-hats.

The photographer Ronan Gallagher has captured the campaign images of the collection. It was also filmed by the videographer Tom Dream. It features an eclectic mix of characters, on board a cruise liner, with the perfect dose of fun and style. The result of the campaign and its mis-en-scene is a nod to the elegant 70s, while also featuring the artisan and Mediterranean style typical of MANGO.

SIMONMILLER, founded in 2008, personifies the lifestyle of its CEO and creative director Chelsea Hansford, who defends a brilliant and modern proposal, and who also stars in the SIMONMILLERxMANGO campaign.

Mango is a global company with design, creativity and technology at the centre of its business model, and a strategy based on constant innovation. The brand bases its model on a unique fashion proposal, based on translating the key trends into its own language, resulting in two major collections per year, which are enlarged with capsule collections every two weeks that focus on different moments and occasions, in order to renew its offer constantly.

SIMONMILLERxMANGO is the most recent collaboration of MANGO, which previously has worked with other brands, artists and talents, such as Leandra Medine, Chufy, Pernille and, more recently, Camille Charrière. This new collaboration aims to unite the communities of MANGO and SIMONMILLER to offer them a fresh perspective and new interpretation of Mediterranean style.
